This is for instrument designers who are faced with the task of correlating pixels on a CCD, or similar sensor, to pixels on a monitor.  Precise ray tracing of the optical design gives exactness to the task.    It eliminates the need for lookup tables and elaborate fit functions.  A ray trace takes into account any optical distortions and other optical effects.

A simple text file lists each optical component prescriptions, locations and material which can be derived from your optical design program such as ZEMAX, Code V, OSLO and, of course, RayCAD.
